Fantasy Football League

With the LLGS Fantasy Football League well under way we felt it was a good idea to try and maintain interest for all teams participating - right through to the end of the season. Therefore, we are going to expand the number of competitions for everyone to take part in. As mentioned, we will be giving awards for each Manager of the Month, with John and Andy already picking up the first two prizes respectively. We will also award a prize to the Manager of the Season, ie the person who gains the most points over the full season.

Furthermore, we will be running the Fantasy Football Cup competition which we have previously mentioned, a Plate competition (for those going out of the main Cup competition at an early stage) and a Head-to-Head League - which will all kick off on Premier League Game Week 10.

The fixtures and rules for each competition are below. We will publish the results and league tables after each game week.

1st Round Draw is:

The rules are as follows:
Matches played on a head to head basis.
Only points awarded by the official Barclays Premier League web site on the week of the tie will count towards the score.
Winner of the tie is the team scoring more points than their opposition.
In the event of a draw, the match will carry over to the next week (and so on) until a winner is obtained.
Teams losing in the first round will be entered into the Plate competition along with our late entry, Rian Rovers.

Cup Ties to be played on:
1st Round to be played on Game Week 10, 24/25 October, 2009.
2nd Round to be played on Game Week 14, 28 November, 2009.
Quarter final to be played on Game Week 26, 9/10 February, 2010.
Semi final to be played on Game Week 31, 20/21 March, 2010.Final to be played on Game Week 35, 17 April, 2010.

Plate Ties to be played on
1st Round to be played on Game Week 18, 19/20 December, 2009.
Quarter final to be played on Game Week 22, 16 January, 2010.
Semi final to be played on Game Week 28, 27 February, 2010.
Final to be played on Game Week 33, 2/3 April, 2010.

The rules for the Head-to-Head League are as follows:
Matches will be played on a head-to-head basis in a 29 team league.
Each team will play everyone else once, with the fixtures allocated on a week to week basis.
Only points awarded by the official Barclays Premier League web site on the week of the tie will count towards the score.
Winner is the team scoring more points than their opposition in that particular week.
Points will be allocated on a week to week basis with 3pts for a win and 1pt for a draw.
League will commence on Gameweek 10, 24/25 October, 2009.
